BDS is working! Sign the HP Pledge
Investors are warned that ‘the carnage continues’ when it comes to SodaStream. The company has already announced it is closing its factory in the West Bank. It is clear they have responded to pressure about their illegal colonisation of Palestinian land. Unfortunately, they have built a new factory in the Naqab/Negev – benefitting from Israel’s ethnic cleansing of Bedouin communities.
Now, alongside our existing BDS campaigns, we are also setting our sights on HP – Hewlett Packard.
Hewlett Packard (HP) is best known for producing our printers and laptops. But it is also complicit in Israel’s brutal occupation of Palestine and grave breaches of international law. HP provides Israel with specialised technologies which are integral to Israel’s system of oppression of the Palestinian people. HP provides the Israeli navy’s IT infrastructure. The Israeli navy is used to bombard Gaza and enforce the illegal blockade from the sea.

Israeli Forces are stepping up their harassment and intimidation of Palestinians. On Tuesday they raided Shufat refugee camp and Silwan area, and on Wednesday they demolished 20 stores and an ancient structure in Shufat refugee camp.
Thank you to the more than 6,000 of you who who wrote ask your MP to take part in Monday’s Parliamentary debate on Palestine. Many MPs – such as
Grahame Morris MP and Sir Gerald Kaufman MP spoke at length about the “fear and despair among Palestinians in Jerusalem” and the need for attention to the Israeli State’s actions in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.
Next week PSC is hosting a meeting to discuss the crisis in East Jerusalem, chaired by Richard Burden MP, with Palestine Ambassador to the UK, Prof Manuel Hassassian, Hugh Lanning, Chair of Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Philipa Harvey, NUT and Vicky Foxcroft, Labour’s Parliamentary candidate for Lewisham Deptford. This Parliamentary event is fully booked, but we will be producing a report of the event after the meeting.
A message from Gaza
We would like to share with you a message that we received from Abdallah who joined Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) on 22nd July this year:
“I’m from the north of Gaza near the border, I write this message under the sounds of fire, random artillery missiles and F16 jet bombardment which strongly vibrate our houses. The shelling has not stopped all day…. I am very proud to work with you to improve the status of my country Palestine and refute the lies and atrocities committed by the Israel Occupation Army. Thank you very much for your great efforts and interest in our issue and what we are suffering in Palestine”.

Abdallah and his family survived the war but now face its devastating effects.
Will you help us continue to make Abdallah a proud member of PSC? Will you help us deliver on the hope that PSC’s work is inspiring in Palestinians across Gaza and the West Bank today? Donate now
