A number of organisations have contacted PSC regarding a new campaign which has been launched today under the banner “Apartheid Off Campus”.
The campaign launched today is not endorsed by PSC, nor connected to PSC, although it is using PSC’s “apartheid off campus” slogan, PSCs images, and PSCs database, without permission.
PSC has been supporting students to run divestment campaigns across UK campuses, under this banner for the past 2 years. This work has included PSC’s development of a database that identifies the level of complicit investments held by individual universities.
Aided by PSC, students have taken key strides forward in building effective campaigns calling on their universities to divest from companies complicit in Israel’s grave human rights abuses. PSC will continue to lead in supporting them, including with resources, campaign materials, and legal advice where needed. We will continue to work with key partners, including the Palestinian-led BDS Movement, to ensure student campaigns are effective and impactful.
