The Political Geography of Palestine: talk with Dipu Ahad & Chris Harker
This event is jointly organised by Stop the War Coalition, Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Newcastle University Geography Department’s Power, Space and Politics research group
Newcastle councillor Dipu Ahad recently visited Palestine. He travelled to the West Bank including Hebron, Ramallah, Bethlehem and the Bedouin areas where their homes have been demolished. He will give a talk on his experiences & will be joined by Dr Chris Harker, Lecturer in Human Geography, Durham University. His current research explores the urban growth of Ramallah. This event is Newcastle PSC’s monthly meeting.
