‘Nakba Day’ (‘Day of the Catastrophe’) commemorates the suffering of Palestinians in May 1948 when thousands were driven from their homes and land by Israeli armed forces to become refugees. Many still are to this day.
Join Richmond and Kingston Palestinian Solidarity Campaign for an afternoon of food, music, film and poetry as local Palestinians tell their stories of how they and their families continue to be affected by the Nakba.
Antione Raffoul from 1948 lest we forget will speak, plus Palestinian members of the branch relating their family experiences of the Nakba.
