Caging Childhood: Palestinian Children in Israel’s Military Detention System

The event will feature speakers following a screening of Caging Childhood: Palestinian Children in Israel’s Military Detention System, a short documentary released at the end of 2021, that shares the stories of three Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank and their experiences being detained, interrogated, prosecuted, and imprisoned in the Israeli military detention system. Caging Childhood was produced by Defence for Children International – Palestine.

Shaina Low, advocacy officer with Defence for Children International-Palestine (DCIP), which co-leads the No Way to Treat a Child campaign.   

 

Daniel Kebede, President National Education Union (NEU).   

 

Louise Regan, Vice-Chair Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC).   

 

Chair: Christine Blower, former President and subsequently General Secretary of the National Union of Teachers (NUT), currently Labour Peer and Patron of PSC.
