This summer saw another devastating attack on Gaza, killing more than 1400 civilians, including 501 children. Max Blumenthal recently testified before the Russell Tribunal on Palestine on the atrocities he documented in the Gaza Strip during Operation Protective Edge. In this talk, he will discuss his findings as well as the broader context of the conflict, including incitement to genocide by Israeli political and societal leaders, the repression of dissent in Israel, and the situation in the West Bank.

 

Biography: Max Blumenthal is an award-winning journalist and bestselling author whose articles and video documentaries have appeared in The New York Times, The Daily Beast, The Nation, The Guardian, The Huffington Post, Salon.com, Al Jazeera English and many other publications. His new book, Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel, is in stores now. His 2009 book, Republican Gomorrah: Inside The Movement That Shattered The Party, is a New York Times and Los Angeles Times bestseller. He recently testified at the Russel Tribunal’s extraordinary session on Gaza.
