Join us and hear from experienced campaigners, and gain key tools and techniques to end your university’s links to Israeli apartheid!
Israel system of oppression continues to intensify. Israel’s illegal settlement expansion continues to swallow up Palestinian land in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, Palestinians in besieged Gaza, already at breaking point, have yet again been massacred with impunity during the Great March of Return, and Palestinian refugees face devastating cuts to vital UNRWA support and the derecognition of their fundamental right to return. This is made possible by the complicity and funding of government’s like Britain’s, and of our universities.
During the last year student campaigners have been at the forefront of answering the Palestinian call for solidarity, making huge strides forward campaigning against university complicity in Israel’s human rights abuses. At Leeds, students got their university to divest from three companies involved in violating Palestinian human rights, while at dozens of other campuses students have launched active campaigns to get complicit companies off their campus. Universities are on the back foot – its vital we grow our campaigns during the upcoming year.
